Kenyans sing the Indian National Anthem

Posted in About, Creativity, Film, Media by Salil on April 9, 2008

Came across this website called “pangeaday“. Interesting concept. There’s this video of kenyans singing the Indian National Anthem. It ain’t funny. Its rather different. Need to delve into this concept more.

Film always interests me. It also connects people. Its interesting to note the efforts people are making to bridge the gaps. Gaps that become chasms when there’s little or no information percolating through borders. The days of the story teller moving from village to village are long gone. Its the internet with its immense potential that will enable us to break the barriers, and make sure a new world is born where millions of ideas take birth where the old is revered or thrown as irreverent and the new is waiting to burst forth, either to survive or die likewise.

Some people might comment and remark saying that I stated the obvious, but unfortunately, a lot of us use the net only for browsing. Browsing for mails, or the general social networking. I don’t have the statistics (and 46.4% of stats are made on the spot anyways!) but I feel a majority of us do not harness what is out there for the taking.

Have to work on these grounds. Internet and trends. Interesting topic, very vague, yet very pointed if delved properly.

Take note people. I will keep you all posted on what else pangeaday has to offer.

Truly,

CZ
